Okay, so some of you have been reading my Midas Girl series of little autobiographical drabbles. It's an excavation of sorts, to what end, I'm not sure. I do know it's about hiding my light under a bushel because, well, I was afraid the light would shine so bright, I wouldn't be able to handle it. It's about how, every time I put myself out there, it works out for me, and why that's scary.
Anyhoo... some of you also know I've had a little Glee problem of late, which is why I know the latest info about Chris Colfer, the actor who plays Kurt Hummel. I am completely convinced he has the same golden touch I have. The only difference is, he's not holding back.
Consider this:
He just signed a 2-book deal with Little, Brown. (novelist)
Two weeks ago he started the Glee Live tour (rock star)
Last month he signed a deal with Disney to write a pilot. (TV writer/producer)
Earlier this year he won a Golden Globe for his role on Glee.
Last year he sold a screenplay -- he'll star in the film (screenwriter/movie star)
Two years ago Ryan Murphy liked him so much, he wrote him into Glee (actor/singer)
Oh, and he just turned 21.
See what happens when you just embrace who you are?
I'm not sure I'll ever be able to do that.
